A Family Affair
In 1982, the Ferron family entered the food business by opening its first distribution centre and retail store. Since that time, business has grown and they now have several fish markets in the Greater Montreal area.
In April 1987, the Ferron family partnered with Norref Fisheries in the fish and seafood distribution business, subsequently becoming Quebec’s largest fish and seafood distributor.
In 2003 they added their first branch store, Odessa L’Entrepôt, on Rue Molson in Montreal. In 2011, the family sold Norref Fisheries to better focus on their Poissonnerie Odessa markets. Over the years, several Poissonneries Odessa branches opened in the province. In May 2008, the company opened at new fish market at the Centropolis in Laval, which, to date, is still the largest in the province.
Three generations and seven branch stores later, the original mission of the Ferron family and Poissonneries Odessa remains unchanged: to offer outstanding customer service and a wide variety of exceptionally fresh, superior-quality products.

In 2017, we decided to join Opération Enfant Soleil’s #DÉFISDES100, with the goal of raising more than $6,500 for the 30 th Opération Enfant Soleil telethon in June of 2017.
